CREATING A VISION BOARD: WHY THEY WORK & HOW TO MAKE ONE

A vision board is a visual collage that brings your S.M.A.R.T. goals and your personal vision to life.

This may sound a little weird, crazy, and like 4th grade art class...but vision boards totally work and are super important to achieving goals.

Many successful people swear by their vision boards including: Beyonce, Oprah, Ellen DeGeneres, John Assaraf, & Katy Perry.

IF YOU HAVEN'T MADE A VISION BOARD OR THINK IT'S NOT FOR YOU, YOU'RE MISSING OUT!

Hear me out on this and I'll explain....And show you how to make your own!

HOW DO VISION BOARDS WORK?

Creating a vision board is one method of a bigger technique called visualization.

Vision Boards, Setting Your Intentions, Personal Mantra, and even creating Business Plans for your work are all very similar. The purpose of each of these methods is to visualize your goals.

Some people are naturally gifted at visualization though most of us require help. A vision board is a great method to visualize your goals.

Visualizing your goals on a daily basis will keep your eye on the prize.

It all comes down to the mind. Mind over matter.

IF YOU TRULY BELIEVE IN SOMETHING AND WANT IT BAD ENOUGH, YOU CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN.

Hitting your goals is all about getting a mindset for success.

Your vision board does exactly this.

But for the vision board to work, it has to be meaningful.

If you just glue a bunch of meaningless images that have no purpose or intention to your poster board, it will not work.

YOUR VISION BOARD SHOULD STRIKE YOU RIGHT IN YOUR HEART.

For your vision board to work, it needs to be meaningful to you.

Create a collection of meaningful images, snapshots, words, quotes, etc. that tug at your emotions, gets you fired up, and gives you all the feels.

When you've created a vision board that is personal and digs down deep to your private dreams that you want the most, looking at your vision board should strike you right in your heart.

VISION BOARD: SEEING & STEPPING RIGHT INTO YOUR DREAM LIFE.

Your vision board should be so personal, so clear, so meaningful that looking at it is like stepping into your dream life.

Seeing what that life looks like, feeling what it would feel like...All of your senses and all of your emotions should get fired up and excited.

That's a good thing too if you feel like you want to keep it private because that means that your vision board means something to you...Which is the whole purpose of creating a vision board.

WHAT DO I DO WITH MY VISION BOARD?

Keep your vision board in a place you will see it daily:

  • On the refrigerator door

  • On your closet door

...OR TAKE A PICTURE WITH YOUR PHONE AND CARRY YOUR VISION BOARD WITH YOU!

WHEN DO I MAKE A NEW VISION BOARD?

When the time feels right. Vision boards are all about your feelings and being able to visualize your dreams.

When the time feels right to create a new vision board, you'll know.
